This guide was designed as part of the project “Abandoning FGM/C on FM”, implemented by AIDOS in collaboration with Audiodoc and with the financial support from UNFPA,through the UNFPA-UNICEF Joint Programme on Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting. The guide is intended for media professionals as a support to facilitate talks about the practice of FGM/C in its current evolution. Media, especially at a time like ours which is characterised by fast communication, satellite connections, mobile telephony and Internet, can contribute to accelerate the abandonment of the practice process through coverage of ongoing changes on the field, thus encouraging families to adhere to this process.
