AIDOS campaign for Palestinian women and girls living in refugee camps in Lebanon
For the 8th of March – International Women’s Day – AIDOS launches the “Dignity for All” fundraising campaign, to distribute kits consisting of sanitary pads, detergent and food, in particular flour, rice and oil, to women and girls.
The campaign is aimed at supporting Palestinian women and girls living in the Burj El Barajneh refugee camp in Lebanon. The direct beneficiaries and the health center’s staff managed by our partner PWHO have given us instructions on what to include in the kits that we intend to provide thanks to your donations.
The kits are very helpful for women and girls during conflicts, humanitarian emergencies and times of vulnerability. Health products have a direct impact on their self-esteem, self-confidence, health, promoting bodily autonomy, mobility (essential for attending school and going to work), as well as active involvement in community life.
“Dignity for all” intends to promote a practical 8th March, full of action and commitment that will continue throughout the year.
By donating 30 euros it will be possible to offer each woman or girl a dignity kit for a whole month.
