Within the context of migration in the Mediterranean area, SGBV rates are extremely high. It occurs both in the country of origin itself, during the journey, in areas of transit or in the country of arrival\/asylum. This Policy Document, produced in the framework of the <strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">\u201c<a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/aidos.it\/en\/project\/europe-coordinated-response-of-the-reception-system-for-migrants-who-have-suffered-sexual-and-gender-based-violence-in-the-mediterranean-med-res\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MEDiterranean reception systems\u2019 coordinated RESponse for people in migration (PiM) victims of SGBV\u201d project (MED RES)<\/a>***<\/span><\/strong>, analyses \u00a0three specific forms of SGBV: <strong>Rape<\/strong>, <strong>Female Genital Mutilation<\/strong> (FGM) and <strong>Human trafficking<\/strong> for sexual exploitation in the context of migration in <strong>Italy, Spain and Malta<\/strong>.
