Right now, the situation in Lebanon is dramatic. <\/strong>Beirut is in a state of destruction and chaos, with thousands of people fleeing. The country still bears the scars of previous conflicts and already hosts several Palestinian refugee camps where people live in desperate conditions.<\/p>\n\n

In every conflict or humanitarian crisis, women and girls are the ones who pay the highest price<\/strong>. Their rights\u2014such as access to healthcare (especially sexual and reproductive health), education, and a life free from violence\u2014are often denied.<\/p>\n\n

This is why AIDOS has established a Fund for Sexual and Reproductive Health<\/strong>, to support the work of those who ensure these rights even in the most dramatic situations.<\/p>\n\n

With just 1 euro a day<\/strong>, you can help guarantee women and girls access to essential prevention and care services, as well as basic necessities like sanitary pads and soap.<\/p>\n\n

In 2025, the resources collected through the Fund will be allocated to displaced women and girls in Lebanon<\/strong>, through collaboration with the Palestinian Women\u2019s Humanitarian Organization<\/em> (PWHO), which runs a sexual and reproductive health center in the Burj El Barajneh refugee camp in Beirut and has partnered with AIDOS on many projects.<\/p>\n\n

PWHO has had to temporarily abandon its headquarters in Burj El Barajneh, as the camp was hit by bombings and has been almost entirely evacuated. The organization is now carrying out vital humanitarian assistance in the Sabra and Shatila camp and in schools where displaced populations have taken refuge. Immediate response initiatives include the distribution of meals, hygiene kits, and blankets, educational activities for children, and psychological support\u2014always with particular attention to the specific needs of women and girls, who are often forgotten in emergency contexts. <\/p>\n\n
