Aidos is participating today in the VI FOCUS conference<g id=\"gid_0\"> &#8220;Focus on Female Genital Mutilation&#8221;<\/g>, organised by the University of Pisa and the Regional Centre for Female Genital Mutilation (FGM). Five working sessions are scheduled trhoguhout the day, and each will discuss FGM from different perspectives (medical, social, institutional) in order to address the topic through a <strong>multidisciplinary approach<\/strong>. The conference is an opportunity to promote a space for dialogue, exchange of best practises, and training on the FGM issue, among healthcare personnel, researchers, organisations involved in the issue, and institutions. The aim is to foster the development of strategies and policies aimed at preventing FGM and orividing the appropriate support and care to survivors, thus contributing to the <strong>right to health, sexual and reproductive health, and self-determination<\/strong>.     <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aidos will speak at the conference bringing its experience of more than 40 years in addressing FGM, both through projects that help create a social environment that enables the empowerment of women and girls and their bodily autonomy, and through networking with other civil society organisations. Aidos is among the founding organisations of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.endfgm.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">End FGM European Network<\/a>, with which it recently created the free<strong> <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/endfgm-ecampus.eu\/?lang=it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">End FGM E-Campus<\/a> learning platform, which provides training in Italian, English and other languages for various professional to end Female Genital Mutilation. <\/p>\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/aidos.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Screenshot-2025-12-11-193506.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25384\" style=\"width:338px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pisa, Dec. 12, 2025.
