Gender transformative approaches include measures aiming to inform\/sensitize or even transform men and boys on the issue of toxic masculinity, to challenge gendered social norms, including harmful gender stereotypes, and favouring women and girls\u2019 empowerment. Such programmes must challenge gender roles and gender power dynamics, and work to counter them both at institutional and society levels.<\/div>\n
In October and November 2021, AIDOS, GAMS Belgium and the End FGM European Network organized a virtual International Stakeholder Dialogue (ISD) on the topic of \u201cgender transformative approaches to ending FGM\u201d (GTA). The Dialogue gathered stakeholders from the public, private and civil society sectors, in Africa, Europe and beyond, working towards the elimination of FGM.<\/div>\n
This webinar will be an opportunity to learn about the results of the dialogue and the recommendations developed for donors, policymakers, international organisations and NGOs.<\/div>\n

En octobre et novembre 2021, AIDOS, GAMS Belgique et le R\u00e9seau europ\u00e9en End FGM ont organis\u00e9 un Dialogue international virtuel des parties prenantes (ISD) sur le th\u00e8me des \u00ab\u00a0Approches transformatrices de genre pour mettre fin aux MGF<\/strong>\u00a0\u00bb.<\/strong> Le Dialogue a rassembl\u00e9 des parties prenantes des secteurs public, priv\u00e9 et de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile, en Afrique, en Europe et au-del\u00e0, \u0153uvrant pour l\u2019\u00e9limination des MGF.<\/p>\n

Les approches transformatrices de genre comprennent des mesures visant \u00e0 informer\/sensibiliser, voire transformer les hommes et les gar\u00e7ons sur la question de la masculinit\u00e9 toxique, \u00e0 remettre en cause les normes sociales li\u00e9es au genre, y compris les st\u00e9r\u00e9otypes de genre nuisibles, et \u00e0 favoriser l\u2019autonomisation des femmes et des filles. Ces programmes doivent remettre en question les r\u00f4les et les dynamiques de pouvoir li\u00e9s au genre, et s\u2019efforcer de les contrer tant au niveau des institutions que de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9.
\nCe webinaire de cl\u00f4ture sera l\u2019occasion de connaitre les r\u00e9sultats du dialogue et les recommandations \u00e9labor\u00e9es pour les bailleurs, d\u00e9cideurs, organisations internationales et ONG.<\/p>\n
