Between October and November 2020, 76 experts from 44 organisations in 31 coun\u00adtries and 5 world regions gathered online to participate in multiple virtual stakeholder di\u00adalogue sessions in the run-up to the FGM Do\u00adnors Working Group meeting on 16-17 No\u00advember 2020. The online discussions focused on \u201cPreventing and Responding to Female Gen\u00adital Mutilation in Emergency and Humanitarian Contexts\u201d <\/strong>with the explicit aim of providing a concrete set of recommendations for donors and key actors in the field.<\/p>\n

The dialogue was organised by AIDOS, GAMS Belgium and the End FGM Europe\u00adan Network within the framework of the UNF\u00adPA-UNICEF Joint Programme on FGM support\u00aded project “Building Bridges between Africa and Europe to tackle FGM”<\/a>. It built on the work of the Community of practice on FGM (CoP FGM)<\/u><\/a>, which provides virtual spaces for collective discussion, ideas and informa\u00adtion-sharing on Female Genital Mutilation, whilst applying a Building Bridges perspective (focusing on Africa and Europe).<\/p>\n

At the end of the series of stakeholder meetings, a Report gathering the results from the International Dialogue was produced and\u00a0the Webinar “Leaving No One Behind: Target 5.3 in Emergencies” was held on November 12th 2020 to present conclusions and\u00a0recommendations.<\/p>\n
