What is the “Global Health and Women\u2019s Rights” All-Party Parliamentary Group<\/h1><\/div><\/div>\n\n

The informal parliamentary group promotes the Italian and international agenda on development cooperation in the areas of global health, sexual and reproductive health<\/a> and women’s rights. The group, which is open to all political forces, constantly monitors the implementation of the commitments made by the Italian government, as well as actions to stimulate the allocation of resources, in order to increase the quantity but also the quality of development aid for women’s health and rights, which are still not always guaranteed. The Group is part of the European EPF – European Parliamentary Forum<\/a> network, which brings together parliamentarians from all over Europe who are committed to protecting global health and, in particular, sexual and reproductive health both in their respective countries and abroad and to protecting women’s rights with reference to the Programme of Action of the Cairo Conference on Population and Development<\/strong> (1994), the Platform for Action of the Beijing Conference on Women<\/strong> (1995) and the Sustainable Development Goals as defined by the 2030 Agenda<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
